Visiting Assistant Professor, Electronic and Computer Engineering Technology Paul joins the Electronic and Computer Engineering Technology program with 15 years of industrial experience as an electrical engineer, primarily in the field of digital design for the telecommunications industry. Professor Yanik comes from the Research Triangle Park area where he worked most recently with Qualcomm Corporation on the design and verification of their latest generation microprocessor for cellular telephony applications. His professional background also includes the experience of being a founding team member of a successful networking startup venture which was acquired in 2000 by Vitesse Semiconductor Corporation for $450 million. Earlier in his career, Paul worked with Harris Corporation on the data communication electronics of the F22 fighter aircraft. Paul holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Science in Computer Engineering, both from North Carolina State University. His academic interests include computer networking, electronics design automation and digital design verification.
