Don Wood, Associate Professor, Engineering Technology

Industrial Technology, Western Carolina University, 1970; Masters of Industrial Education - Tech and two year college track, 1973; Industrial Arts NC "A" Certificate, 1973; Master of Industrial Education with NC "G" Certification, 1973.

Prior to coming to WCU Professor Wood taught in NC Public Schools and worked for the Union Carbide Corporation. Current responsibilities include teaching undergraduate engineering graphics, and computer aided design classes. Professor Wood is the Director of the Industrial Technology Degree Program at WCU. Professor Wood is also the Chair of the Mountain Heritage Day Committee and has coordinated the Mountain Heritage Day event for many years.

Special interests include Computer Aided Design (CAD), the design process, materials and processes, technology education, entrepreneurship, investing and private aviation.
