Visiting Assistant Professor, Engineering Technology

Professional interests include semiconductor manufacturing operations and systems, leadership and training.

Prior to arriving at Western Carolina University, Venable worked in Manufacturing and Training at Intel Corporation. During her eight years at Intel, she worked in manufacturing operations, human resources, and training. Her primary focus was new process transfers and 'greenfield' startups which included establishing systems and certifications to ensure successful manufacturing startups. Undergraduate courses taught include Engineering Economics, Technology Systems, and AIDC for the Enterprise.

She is also the current Assistant Men and Women's Track and Field Coach at Western Carolina University.
